Reviewing Your Research: we are often commissioned to review and check the accuracy of existing Online Family Trees. It's very easy to follow the wrong path even when you're experienced. If you're worried there may be mistakes, we can put your mind at rest.

Military History: is one of our specialitys. We can help you find out all about your ancestor's military service. We'll research all available record sources and write up your ancestor's story.

Northumberland and Durham Research: we're ideally located to access original records in Northumberland and Durham Archives and have a comprehensive knowledge of the area and its history. We've worked extensively for clients often overseas, who have ancestors from these counties and in addition to research can investigate/photograph buildings, churches and other places which were important to your ancestors.

How We Work
Payment
Once we have agreed the scope of the research we will agree a budget and provide regular updates on progress, discussing and agreeing with you at each stage whether you wish to continue the research.
Our hourly rate for family history research is £30/hr (2 hour minimum order) payable in advance. Additional costs for such things as obtaining copies of original documentation will always be agreed with you in advance.

Payment may be made in GB Pounds sterling by bank transfer, debit/credit card or via PayPal.

I commissioned research into a family Bible from 1750 and my father's notes from about 1945 - Andy was informative, engaged and enthusiastic from the outset and has been able to document family members I had never heard of, despite many difficulties with access to archives. He was very helpful with related matters, after the family moved from Newcastle to Cork in 1799.

I wanted help finding out about my Grandmother's service in the WAAF during World War Two. Andy helped me get hold of the records and then produced a report outlining her whole service record. I now know everything about her training, postings and how her career progressed. Best of all, the report included lots of background detail on the work of Balloon Squadrons, what their duties were and photographs.

My father died of his war injuries when I was very young. I had sent off his War records and was enormously disappointed to receive a few pages which were completely incomprehensible.
